Welcome to the Orient Golf Tour - Zhuhai Open at Zhuhai Orient Golf Club, during March 15th-17th, 2006. Please study the following details to keep you informed and ensure a pleasant stay with us.
1.Official Hotel-Your Official Hotel will be at the Holiday Inn. It is about 10 minutes from the Zhuhai Ferry Pier. The phone number is 0756-3228888
2.Registration-Players are requested to register and pay tournament entry fee of US$ 50 to LAGT or its equivalent in local currency in the Tournament Office in Lobby at the Club House. Registration is opened on 13th 8:00-5:00 & 14th 8:00-12:00 and close at 12:00 on 14th Tuesday. An Information Board will be located at the lobby to give you other necessary information. Please check it daily.
3.Shuttle bus schedules-There will be a free bus service to the Zhuhai Orient Golf Club & back. Please see the bus schedules posted at the lobby. Taxi’s also available for private trips. Please contact reception
4.Zhuhai Orient Golf Club-The tournament venue is located about 20 minutes from the Holiday Inn. The address is No. 1 North Road, Round Island Hengqin District, Zhuhai. The Telephone No.: 0086-756-8688299, Fax No.: 0086-756-8688199
4.1)Payment at the golf club-to be made by cash and credit card.
4.2)Golf sets-Suggest to leave in the care of the golf club. Or taken back to your room daily. Please tie the golf set tag given upon registration to your golf set for identification.
4.3)Driving Range-Practice balls are provided free from 15th –17th March. The range is open from 6.30 am to 6.30 pm.
4.4)Practice days-The golf course will be opened for practice round from 8.00 am till 6 pm on March 12th, 13th & 14th 2006. Please sign up to reserve your tee time at the Start off before the practice rounds. Green fee will be free, Caddie fee of RMB150 per round pay directly to golf course.
4.5)Caddies-A caddie will be assigned to you for the championship, unless you have prior approval to use your own caddie. If you do not like his/her service after your practice round, please inform our caddie master who will arrange a new caddie for you. Caddies fees of RMB 450 for 3 Rounds MUST be paid upon registration, Orient Golf Club will provide caddie fee receipt. A refund of RMB 150 will be given on March 16th at 5pm at the tournament office to the players who do not make the cut for the final round.
4.6)Lockers facilities-Exchange of Ladies and Men lockers information will be in the poster on 14th March for the usage during tour period. Please use the Lockers assigned in your name and return the key at the end of the tournament. It is suggested, however, that you put away your valuable belongings in the hotel’s safety box for maximum security.
4.7)Function-Golfers can attend ALL the following function:-
4.8)Juniors’ Golf Clinic-Saturday, 18th March 2006, 8-10am at the Driving Range
4.9)Cocktail Reception & Press Release-To be hosted by Holiday Inn, at the Banqueting Hall ,5th floor of the Hotel. On Tuesday, March 14, at 4.30pm. It is COMPULSORY for all players to attend. Casual attires are allowed but no shorts. You and your relatives are advised to bring along ID tags. This is the occasion to meet your supporters \ sponsors and press of the tournament.
4.10)Gala Dinner-7:00pm on 18th March, venue to be confirmed (pls notice board)
4.11)Prize presentation of the champions-Will be held on Friday, 17th March 2006, right after the final round, at approximately 3 pm, near Hole 18 green. Prizes will be given to : The Professional Champion The Best Photogenic The Daily Best Score winners Hole-in-One winner
4.12)Guest-Players relatives who wish to join the various functions are requested to obtain their ID tags when players register for the tournament
5.Medical Services-Doctor will be serviced in the golf course during tournament.
6.Pro-Am TournamentScheduled for, Saturday 18th March 2006. Players are advised to register one hour prior to tee time (tee time will be published in the poster). The tournament will be played as Scramble, best ball . The caddie fee for the Pro-Am, need to be paid by the respective players. Pro-Am Participants and pro players are invited to attend prize presentation function at the end.
7.Drinks and Beverages-Bottled mineral water and fruit will be provided for the players at certain holes during the tournament.
8.Prize Money Distribution-Prize money will be paid in cash and tax receipt after the tournament by Orient Golf Club, Zhuhai.
9.Departure- Will arrange bus departs Zhuhai to Macau on Sunday at 10:30am (All players must sign up and pre-pay bus fares RMB 100)
10. Hotel’s bills- Please make sure that you settle all laundry and mini-bar bills before your departure. Check out time is 12noon .For Late check out liaise with the hotel reception
11.Shopping & Entertainment Facilities-Holiday Inn is located in the heart of the city. Other shopping complexes, banks and souvenir shops are nearby .You may hire your own taxi.
12.T. V. Telecast .The tournament will be broadcast on international channels both native and overseas.
13.Internet Facilities-Internet facilities are available at business Center in Hotel.
14.Evaluation Forms-You are requested to fill the evaluation forms and return it on or before your last day17th March, to the Committee Office, golf course.
