　　Q: A, the opponent or fellow-competitor of B, removes the flagstick from the hole and, while holding it, steps aside. B putts and A realizes that B’s ball may strike him or the flagstick, so he moves out of the way while still holding the flagstick. What is the ruling?

　　A: Although the flagstick is not being attended and is not the equipment of either player, in equity (Rule 1-4), A incurs no penalty for moving the flagstick while B’s ball was in motion as he was already holding it. The answer would be the same if A had the flagstick leaning against his body with part of the flagstick touching the ground.

　　问：A是B的对手或同组球员，他从球洞里移出了旗杆，并举着它，站在一边。B推杆的时候，A意识到B的球可能会击打到他或旗杆，所以他举着旗杆离开了原来的位置。这时应该适用什么规则？

　　答：尽管旗杆不是在被照管，而且不是任何一名球员的携带品，本来公正的原则（规则1-4），A还是不会因为移动了旗杆而接受处罚，在A举着旗杆的时候，B的球已经在运动了。如果A让旗杆靠在他的身上，部分旗杆还接触到了地面，A也同样不会被处罚。
