　　Q: A condition of a stroke play competition provided that scores must be returned by 7:30 P.M. At 5:00 P.M., a member of the Committee extended the deadline to accommodate four late-arriving competitors. Is such action proper?

　　A: No. Once a competition has started, the conditions should be altered only in very exceptional circumstances. In this case, no such circumstances existed.

　　问：假设一场比杆赛的要求是比分卡必须在7：30pm前提交，5：00pm的时候，一名委员会的成员考虑到四名晚到的比赛者，所以延长了最后期限。这么做是正确的吗？

　　答：不对。一旦比赛已经开始了，比赛要求只能在非常特殊的情况下才能更改。上述的情况，不属于极特殊的情况。
