All courses in China must
be rated in accordance with the USGA procedures
by a rating team representing CGA which
has been authorized and licenses by USGA
to rate curses. A Course Rating Team shall
be composed of at least three trained and
experienced individuals:
Certified USGA Course Raters for CGA
1. Cui Zhi Qiang
2. Aylwin Tai
3. Warwick Guy
4. Alistair Polson
A rating team should b assisted by a club
representative, preferably a player with
a low USGA Handicap Index (or the club professional),
who can inform the Team of any unusual conditions,
including wind, Team members should have
practical knowledge of scratch golfers.
The members of the team should remain consistent.
( Approximate cost: HK$10,000 to CGA, plus
travel, food and accommodation expenses
for course raters)
